In an effort to support the charitable work of local organizations that serve the areas of Suffolk Federal branch locations, the credit union has identified nonprofits to provide financial support. In Riverhead, Branch Manager Debra Castro presents a $1,000 contribution to the Flanders, Riverside & Northampton Community Association (FRNCA).
“As a member of FRNCAs networking group, we’re always looking for ways we can extend our support. Contributing to their scholarship fund was the perfect answer,” said Debra Castro, Riverhead Branch Manager, Suffolk Federal. “I’m continuously impressed with the effort that this group puts forth to bring the community together. Aside from their scholarship fund, they host fundraisers, sporting events, food, toy and clothing drives and so much more. We’re proud to be a part of an organization like that.”
“The Executive Board of FRNCA, along with our Scholarship Committee and entire membership body would like to extend a giant, heartfelt thank you to Branch Manager Debra Castro and Suffolk Federal for their generous donation to our scholarship fund,” said Ron Fisher, President, FRNCA. “It will help us to provide two more scholarships to local students!”
FRNCA works to unite the hamlet communities of Flanders, Riverside and Northampton by working to improve social services, strengthen economic opportunities, and bring residents and businesses together through cultural, civic, legislative, political, educational, charitable and social activities.
