The CMI Group Provides Thanksgiving Meals for Families in Need

The ACA International member company collected monetary and food donations to help more than 200 families through the Metrocrest Services organization.

In November 2016, ACA International member company The CMI Group partnered with Metrocrest Services to raise funds and collect canned goods to support their annual Thanksgiving food basket program for families in need in Dallas as well as Carrollton, Addison, Farmers Branch and Coppell, Texas.

Metrocrest Services’ focus is on “assisting families, individuals, and senior adults who are coping with crisis situations, need help stabilizing their lives, or who require support to live independently,” according to the organization’s website. Metrocrest Services operates a food pantry each year and provided nearly 800,000 pounds of food to clients in 2015. It also provides rent assistance, transportation, home-delivered meals, school supplies and employment-related services to their clients, according to the website.

Employees and the executive team at The CMI Group found Metrocrest Services to be the perfect organization to help as they looked for an opportunity to support surrounding communities during the Thanksgiving holiday. “We could not be more proud of our employees for their support of this food drive and we look forward to our next opportunity to give back and give thanks,” said The CMI Group’s Client Relationship and Portfolio Manager Brandon Buchanan.

The CMI Group made a cash donation and held a canned food drive that targeted specific items needed by Metrocrest. The donations resulted in meals for more than 200 local families in need.
