The ACA International member company and regional financial institutions came together at ECMC Springfest 2026 to support community health care infrastructure in Western New York.
Most business events revolve around professional identities. People are introduced by their titles, companies, and accomplishments. Success is measured through growth, performance, and innovation.
ECMC Springfest 2026 offered a different perspective.
Held in support of Erie County Medical Center (ECMC), one of Western New York’s leading healthcare institutions, the event brought together executives from banking, financial services, technology, healthcare, and other sectors. While fundraising was central to the evening, the event also highlighted the role businesses play in supporting the communities they serve.
Among those attending were Capital Management Services (CMS) President Larry Costa and President of Operations Stanley Moore, joined by Scott Vick, senior vice president at Upstart, Jim Colosanti, senior vice president at M&T Bank, and David DeSantis, executive vice president at KeyBank.
Though they represent different organizations and industries, they shared a common understanding: strong communities are essential to long-term success.
Leadership Beyond Business
Leadership extends beyond financial performance and operational results. Organizations rely on local talent, public services, schools, and healthcare systems that help communities thrive.
Events like Springfest provide an opportunity for business leaders to support institutions that impact thousands of individuals and families across the region. For companies with deep roots in Western New York, supporting ECMC is not simply philanthropy — it is an investment in a resource that benefits employees, customers, and communities alike.
A Cause That Connects Industries
One of the defining aspects of Springfest was the diversity of leaders in attendance. Financial institutions, technology companies, healthcare advocates, and business executives all gathered around a shared cause.
Healthcare is one of the few areas that touches every individual and every organization. A strong healthcare system supports healthier families, a more stable workforce, and a stronger regional economy.
That shared connection helps explain why support for ECMC resonates across industries. By investing in healthcare, organizations are investing in the long-term strength of the communities where they operate.
Relationships Built on Shared Values
In addition to fundraising, Springfest created opportunities for meaningful connections.
The evening brought together leaders who may not typically share the same professional circles, allowing them to engage around common values rather than business transactions. Conversations centered on community needs, shared challenges, and ways organizations can contribute beyond their individual industries.
Springfest served as a reminder that leadership is measured not only by business achievements but also by the causes organizations choose to support. By coming together for ECMC, leaders from CMS, Upstart, M&T Bank, and KeyBank demonstrated that meaningful community impact begins with engagement, collaboration, and a willingness to invest in something larger than any single organization.
