The ACA International Board of Directors selected Tim Collins as president-elect for 2026/27 at its meeting Wednesday, part of ACA International’s Convention & Expo in Orlando. They also selected John Bedard Jr. as treasurer.

“Tim and John have complementary perspectives on how technology and legal issues are reshaping our industry and the role ACA plays in that,” said ACA CEO Scott Purcell. “Their years of service with ACA and dedication to organizational excellence make them a perfect fit for our board. I am confident that alongside the skills of our incoming president, Jeff DiMatteo, they will drive meaningful growth and success for our association and its members.”

ACA President: Jeff DiMatteo

Jeff DiMatteo is president and a founding partner of American Profit Recovery, a nationally recognized accounts receivable management firm with offices in Franklin, Massachusetts, and Farmington Hills, Michigan. He was elected to ACA’s Board of Directors in 2022. A longtime advocate for the profession, he also serves as president of the New England Collectors Association and has been an active ACA member for many years.

Throughout his career, Jeff has been recognized for his leadership and commitment to the industry. He was named ACA International’s Member of the Year in 2020 and received the ACA Education Foundation Award in 2011. He has earned both ACA’s prestigious Scholar and Fellow designations and has served on numerous ACA committees and task forces over the years. Most recently, he helped establish ACA’s Reputation Management Committee, an initiative dedicated to enhancing the industry’s public image and strengthening its reputation.

ACA Incoming President: Tim Collins

Tim Collins is a technology-forward risk and compliance executive who helps organizations navigate the intersection of innovation, regulatory complexity, and responsible growth. As ACA’s president-elect, he brings a practical, future-focused perspective to industry leadership, with an emphasis on advancing ethical technology, strong governance, and modern compliance practices across the receivables ecosystem.

As senior vice president and chief risk and compliance officer at Pay Ready, Collins leads enterprise risk strategy, regulatory governance, and the development of scalable compliance infrastructure for a tech-enabled financial services organization. His leadership focuses on enabling business growth through efficient and technology-driven solutions that strengthen trust among clients, consumers, and industry partners.

In addition to serving on ACA’s Board of Directors, Collins is active on ACA’s Technology & Innovation Committee, where he supports policy development, responsible innovation, and thought leadership on the evolving role of technology in the receivables management industry.

ACA Treasurer: John Bedard Jr.

John H. Bedard, Jr. is the managing attorney of Bedard Law Group, P.C., located in metro Atlanta, Georgia. He represents creditors, debt collectors, debt buyers, and attorneys helping them stay in compliance with the myriad of laws regulating their businesses, and handling their defense litigation throughout the country. He also helps clients with their CFPB examination preparedness needs, certification audits, regulatory investigations and examinations.

John is an AV-rated attorney and a nationally recognized authority on collection law. He has served ACA as a member of its Board of Directors, chairman of the Members Attorney Program, chairman of the Education Council, Georgia Compliance Chairperson for more than 15 years, and panel defense counsel for ACA’s partner insurance carrier. He has received several industry honors, including ACA’s Program Designation Award, Jonathan Elliot Judicial Advocacy Award, Instructor of the Year Award, and RMAI’s coveted Integrity Award.
