WASHINGTON, D. C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown on Thursday described reports of sexual harassment and workplace misconduct at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as a “crisis,” and called on its chairman to fix it.

The Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee chairman conducted an oversight hearing of financial regulators a week after the release of an independent third-party review of alleged improprieties at FDIC found that “for far too many employees and for far too long, the FDIC has failed to provide a workplace safe from sexual harassment, discrimination, and other interpersonal misconduct.”
