TRAVERSE CITY — TBA Credit Union donated $5,150 to The Father Fred Foundation through its membership initiative You Join. We Give. this July.
During April, May and June the credit union pledged to donate the $10 membership fee from every new membership to the foundation.
The campaign generated a donation that will help the organization continue providing food assistance, clothing, household essentials, personal care items and financial support to local individuals and families in need.
“We are so grateful for TBA Credit Union’s support and thank them for helping us advance our mission of meeting essential needs in our community,” Candice Hamel, executive director at The Father Fred Foundation, said. “As demand continues to outpace donations, this generous contribution will make an immediate and meaningful impact. We are proud to call TBA Credit Union a valued partner.”
The campaign continues throughout the year with a new nonprofit partner each quarter.
“The You Join. We Give. campaign is a simple but powerful way for our members to make a difference from day one,” Karen Browne, president and CEO of TBA Credit Union, said. “Every new membership helps provide support for neighbors facing challenges, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to partner with The Father Fred Foundation to strengthen our community together.”
TBA Credit Union has assets of $383 million and provides financial services to more than 20,000 members across the state of Michigan.
In addition to a call center and two branches located in Traverse City, members have access to more than 300 Xtend Shared Branching locations and more than 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs nationwide through the CO-OP Network.
