Suffolk Federal Announces 2 Promotions
Suffolk Federal is proud to announce the promotion of Toni Ajello of Port Jefferson Station to Assistant Vice President of Mortgages. In this position, Ajello is responsible for overseeing all mortgage originations, processing and underwriting required for mortgage loan growth. She is the lead liaison between Suffolk Federal membership, mortgage servicing vendors, mortgage attorneys and other parties involved in the mortgage process. Ajello monitors the credit union’s mortgage policies, procedures and required audits. She has implemented Suffolk Federal’s First Time Home Buyers Club account, Seminars, Grant, Subsidy and Club programs; and new 5/5 and 7/5 ARM terms. She provides leadership and supervision to the Mortgage department. Ajello joined Suffolk Federal in 2000 in the Finance Department. Prior to joining Suffolk Federal, she was employed at Suffolk County’s Department of Civil Service in Hauppauge as a Proctor. Ajello also previously worked at Comsewogue School District. She is affiliated with the CUNA Lending Council and holds a yellow belt certification with Lean Six Sigma. Through Suffolk Federal she supports the Central Islip Civic Counsel, Community Housing Innovations and the Community Development Corporation of LI.
Suffolk Federal is proud to announce the promotion of Debra Kaminski of Islip to Assistant Vice President of Collections and Loan Portfolio Analysis. In this position, Kaminski is responsible for overseeing all collection activity, evaluating analytics of Suffolk Federal’s loan portfolio and managing loss mitigation processes and the loan workout program, helping members struggling financially to maintain home ownership. She manages the OREO portfolio, foreclosure activity, property maintenance and vacant property requirements and provides leadership, mentoring and training to the Collections department. Kaminski has implemented new process controls and procedures, which have improved efficiencies and positive change and cost savings, along with leading the implementation of several high-profile projects. Kaminski joined Suffolk Federal in 2013 as Director of Collections. Prior to joining Suffolk Federal, she was employed at Standard Microsystems Corporation in Hauppauge as the Senior Manager Corporate Credit and Assistant Treasurer. Kaminski is a graduate of Dowling College where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Finance. She additionally earned an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Nassau Community College. She personally supports nonprofit organizations that lead the way in research for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease).
