Chicago-based Alliant Credit Union recently announced the appointment of its new chief executive officer. Mike Dobbins will take up the mantle, replacing interim CEO Ken Schaafsma, who will stay on as Alliant’s chief risk officer.
Dobbins joins Alliant from venture capital firm Framework, where he served as a venture partner and senior advisor. His career encompasses more than three decades of financial services and fintech experience. Prior to his tenure at Framework, Dobbins held various leadership roles at organizations including RBC and Capital One.
“I’m honored to join Alliant at such an exciting time for the organization,” Dobbins said in a statement. “I’ve long admired Alliant’s reputation for innovation, service and member-centricity. I look forward to building on the strong foundation Ken and the leadership team have laid and working alongside the talented individuals across Alliant to shape the future of digital banking.”
