Altura Credit Union Named “Best-In-State”

Altura Credit Union, the largest credit union in Riverside County, has officially been named one of the Best-In-State Credit Unions for California on the Forbes 2025 list. To celebrate this prestigious honor, the financial institution is rolling out a series of cash incentives for new and existing members through the end of the year.

Jose Gonzalez (Palm Springs) and Valerie Aguilar (Rancho Mirage) joined NBC Palm Springs to discuss the achievement and the limited-time offers. Gonzalez highlighted that the Forbes recognition is particularly meaningful because it is based entirely on member feedback regarding trust, customer service, digital services, and financial transparency. “Being ranked among the top of over [300] credit unions in the state of California is a big deal to us,” Gonzalez said. “It reflects our commitment to providing exceptional customer service.”

In light of the award, Altura is offering special promotions through December. According to Aguilar, the “Send a Friend” program enters members into a drawing to win cash prizes (up to $250) for every referral. Additionally, new members who open a standard account will receive an automatic $50 bonus, while new minor accounts will receive a $25 starter deposit.
