Compass Community Credit Union members and staff have responded in helping the local community during the cold winter months.
Members were encouraged to stop by any Compass branch through the month of January and donate new or gently used coats and jackets. All the collected items were donated to C.A.P.E. and the Uplift Eureka program, both which partner with local organizations to arrange distribution of these items to folks in need.
“We are so grateful to Compass Community Credit Union and their members for their generous donation. All of us at Uplift Eureka are thrilled with the number of coats and jackets that were donated. Their support helps us continue to make a difference to our local community, especially during the cold season. It’s great to see our partners work together to support a worthy cause and positively impact those in need,” said Siena Parrish, community outreach coordinator for C.A.P.E. and Uplift Eureka Program.
“I’m proud of our members and staff who stepped up to help support a worthy cause. Because of their efforts, we were able to provide much needed coats to those in need, right here in our local community”, said Ray Litchfield, president and CEO of Compass Community Credit Union. “Thank you for your generosity, many individuals will now have essential clothing during cold winter months.”
