The Fall River Traffic Department has launched a December ticket amnesty that waives city late fees on eligible 2025 parking tickets if people pay their balances in person by Dec. 30.

The department cautioned, however, that the original violation amount and any registry fee will still apply for unpaid tickets issued more than 60 days ago and flagged by the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV).

Payments must be made in person at the Traffic Department, Room 234 of the Government Center, using cash, money order, or a debit or credit card. Online payments and personal checks will not be accepted.

“Having unpaid parking tickets will prevent driverr’s license and vehicle registration renewals,” said Stephanie McArthur, director of traffic and parking, in a statement. The department urged residents to “take advantage of this limited-time offer” before the end of the month.
