JS Link America Inc. plans to invest approximately $223 million to establish a new rare earth permanent magnet manufacturing facility in Columbus, Georgia. The new facility will create more than 520 new jobs in Muscogee County.
“JS Link America strengthens Georgia’s role in securing the U.S. supply chain in industries such as aerospace, mobility, and energy,” said Governor Brian Kemp. “We are excited for the continued growth of manufacturing in west Georgia, and congratulations to Columbus-Muscogee County for this opportunity.”
JS Link, a Korean biotechnology company that specializes in research and development, has expanded its business to include the production of permanent magnets. The magnets are a critical component in a vast array of industries including automobiles, wind turbines, elevators, home appliances, medical industry, robotics, Urban Air Mobility (UAM), data centers, and consumer electronics, as well as defense systems. JS Link is nearing completion on a similar permanent magnet facility in Yesan, Korea, with an anticipated a pilot production run in September and annual capacity of 1,000 tons.

This new chain will cover the entire process, from the procurement of essential rare-earth materials to the final manufacturing of the magnets.”
JS Link America Inc.’s new manufacturing facility will be located at the Muscogee Technology Park in Columbus. The 130,000-square-foot facility is predicted to have an annual production capacity of 3,000 tons. Operations are expected to begin in late 2027.

Equifax To Invest $25M In Alpharetta Campus
In Fulton County, global data, analytics, and technology company Equifax® will invest $25 million to expand its Alpharetta, Georgia campus. The project will enhance the company’s multi-building campus at 1505 Windward Concourse, creating additional space for nearly 250 new jobs and bringing total full-time employment at the site to approximately 1,660. The renovations are expected to begin later this year.
“This expansion reflects what so many leading companies already know—Alpharetta is a premier destination for top tech talent and innovative businesses,” said Alpharetta Mayor Jim Gilvin. “We’re proud that Equifax continues to grow here and invest in our community.”
The expansion includes the renovation of the third floor of the JV White 1 building, converting it from a data center into collaborative office space for the Equifax Corporate Technology Team. It will support the organization’s continued shift to leveraging the Equifax Cloud™, a top-tier global technology and security infrastructure backed by an approximately $3 billion multi-year investment. One of the largest Cloud initiatives ever undertaken in the industry, the Equifax Cloud has changed nearly every facet of the organization’s infrastructure, further enabling the acceleration of innovation and growth. The project will feature updated workspaces, equipment, furniture, and fixtures, as well as improvements to the on-site parking infrastructure.
