Members 1st Federal Credit Union is recognizing its customers with a month-long campaign designed to say “thank you.”

Member Appreciation Month is being held in April this year, in honor of the credit union’s April 12, 1950 founding. The initiative is a chance to “celebrate the trust and loyalty” of more than 625,000 members, including nearly 25,000 business members, the company said in a press release. In addition, it provides a chance to reaffirm the credit union’s commitment to building relationships, supporting communities and giving back.

“Everything we do starts with our members,” said Michael Wilson, president & CEO of Members 1st Federal Credit Union in a statement. “Each day, we look for thoughtful ways to support our members with value, guidance and tools that can make a difference in their financial lives.

This year’s theme is, “M1les of Gratitude,” and is highlighting the credit union’s community ties across central and northeastern Pennsylvania. Throughout the month, Members 1st will offer a variety of activities and giveaways, including:

• Locally curated gift baskets featuring products and services from each region

• Ten $100 deposits across business, personal and youth accounts

• Branded luggage tags and canvas tote bags available at branches while supplies last

• Four grand prize getaways to Ocean City, Md., in partnership with iHeartRadio

• ‘Treat Days’ at branches offering members complimentary refreshments provided by neighborhood partners

“Traveling across the communities we serve and connecting with members face to face is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. Every mile traveled is a reminder of who we are here for and why this work matters,” Wilson said. “While we are committed to serving our members in tangible ways all year long, Member Appreciation Month gives us a dedicated time to simply say thank you and celebrate the relationships that mean so much to us.”

Members can visit their local branch, follow Members 1st on social media or visit the website to learn more about ways to participate and experience Member Appreciation Month.

Members 1st serves more than 625,000 members from nearly 60 branch locations across 12 Pennsylvania counties, including:  Adams, Berks, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Lycoming, Northampton, Perry, Union and York counties. In Berks, the credit union has two branches: 4363 Perkiomen Ave. in Exeter Township; and 4620 W. Penn Ave. in South Heidelberg Township.
