The NBA and American Express have renewed and expanded their longstanding partnership in a new multiyear deal that now more deeply integrates Amex across the NBA ecosystem and adds USA Basketball and NBA Take‑Two Media to the relationship.
What the new deal includes
-
American Express remains the Official Payment Partner of the NBA and continues its partnerships across the WNBA, NBA G League and select teams such as the Nets, Bulls, Lakers, Jazz and Liberty.
-
The extension adds USA Basketball (men’s and women’s national teams) and NBA Take‑Two Media to the existing portfolio, broadening Amex’s presence from league to national‑team and gaming content.
-
Amex becomes entitlement partner of NBA Tip‑Off and NBA G League Tip‑Off and title partner of NBC and Peacock’s studio show “American Express At the Half.”
Fan and Card Member benefits
-
Continued perks such as fast‑pass lanes at select marquee events, discounts and offers at NBAstore.com during set periods, and Amex Reserved Tickets for events like NBA All‑Star, NBA Draft, WNBA All‑Star and USA Basketball Showcase.
-
Launch of a connected member program with NBA ID: fans who link their NBA ID and American Express accounts will get exclusive offers, ticket promotions and members‑only voting campaigns, plus extra perks for Card Members.
-
Expanded role as presenting partner of exclusive content across NBA, WNBA, G League, USA Basketball and NBA Take‑Two Media social channels, giving Card Members and fans additional digital experiences and access.
Special focus on NBA All‑Star 2026
-
At NBA All‑Star 2026 in Los Angeles, Amex will host “The American Express x Fanatics Real Vintage Vault” in Venice Beach, featuring a vintage, NBA‑inspired space with limited‑edition merchandise, memorabilia displays and on‑site player meet‑and‑greets for registered Card Members (space limited).
-
For a limited time, the related vintage collection will be available online with an offer of 10% off qualifying purchases for eligible Card Members using an Amex card and promo code AMEX10, alongside a separate enrolled offer of $10 back after spending $100 on official All‑Star merchandise at NBA Crossover and select hotels (terms apply).
Big picture
-
The renewed agreement is framed by both sides as a way to “deepen” engagement with fans through live and digital experiences, using Amex’s investment to drive more personalized access, content and game‑adjacent benefits over “many seasons to come.”
