Boca Raton, FL – February 25, 2026 – The Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller, Palm Beach County is offering a lifeline to anyone with overdue traffic tickets or court fines in Palm Beach County by waiving the 25 percent collection agency fees from March 2 through 6 during Operation Green Light.
This longstanding annual program allows anyone with a suspended driver license an opportunity to pay their overdue tickets, court fines and fees and get back on the road.
“Operation Green Light gives people a little help to pay what they owe,” said Mike Caruso, Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller for Palm Beach County. “Defendants still have to pay their court fines and fees, but during Operation Green Light our office and other Clerk’s offices throughout Florida waive the collection agency fee. Operation Green Light helps people pay their debts, reinstate their license and drive legally again.”
Participants in Operation Green Light can pay their outstanding fines and fees in full, online or by phone. In many traffic cases, driver licenses can be reinstated on the same day fines are paid.
Florida law requires the Clerk’s office to turn over unpaid tickets and other outstanding court fines and fees to an outside collection agency if the debt is not paid within 90 days of the due date. Those who don’t pay may also have their driver’s license suspended.
Clerk Caruso is joining with other Clerk’s offices throughout Florida to host an Operation Green Light event. Operation Green Light originated in Palm Beach County in November 2014 before expanding statewide.
