PFCU Credit Union, in partnership with the American Red Cross, proudly announces the results of their recent community blood drive, held on June 4th in Durand and June 5th in Portland. Thanks to the generosity of local donors and PFCU staff, the drives brought out 44 donors, enough to potentially save 132 lives. The event drew support from both long-time and first-time donors, reinforcing the powerful impact of community-driven efforts in addressing critical blood supply shortages.

Each year, the American Red Cross supplies about 40% of the nation’s blood, helping millions of patients recover from surgeries, cancer treatments, chronic illnesses and traumatic injuries. “The success of this drive is a testament to the compassions and commitment of our community,” said Nathan Sarria, Culture and Development Manager at PFCU. “We are honored to support the life-saving mission of the American Red Cross.”

PFCU Credit Union extends its heartfelt thanks to all who participated and encourages community members to continue supporting upcoming drives. For more information on how to give blood, visit www.redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED-CROSS.
