Scott Purcell took time out of a recent personal trip to participate in credit conferences.
ACA International CEO Scott Purcell recently participated in several high-profile speaking engagements in Chisinau, Moldova, sharing insights on credit risk management, strategic planning and leadership with diverse international audiences. The opportunities coincided with a personal trip Purcell had planned at his own expense.
Credit Risk Management Conference
At the Credit Risk Conference on Nov. 19, 2024, Purcell addressed an international gathering of banking professionals, delivering a presentation titled “Challenges in Credit Risk Management: The Impact of Uncollected Loans on Credit Accessibility.”
The multilingual audience included professionals from across the region, with presentations delivered in English, Romanian and Russian.
Strategic Planning Forum
The following day, Purcell led a session for business professionals focusing on organizational adaptability and strategic planning. His presentation emphasized the importance of developing internal structures that can respond to rapidly changing risk assessments.
Young Professionals Leadership Event
Concluding his speaking engagements on Nov. 22, Purcell presented to a group of young professionals on the theme “How YOU Can Change Your World.” His talk highlighted success stories from agriculture, politics and business, demonstrating how individuals from challenging backgrounds have made significant impacts in their fields.
Purcell’s Longstanding Commitment to International Development
Moldova is a country in Eastern Europe, located between Romania and Ukraine. Purcell’s involvement in Moldova dates back to 2010, when he began serving as an advisory board member for Invest Credit, a microfinance organization.
Through his volunteer work with PEER Servants, a faith-based microfinance organization, Purcell has contributed to the development of financial services in the region, including the implementation of the EOS management system at Invest Credit.
“It was remarkable to see the substantial positive changes in Moldova since my last visit,” Purcell noted, reflecting on his return to the region after a five-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
ACA continues to strengthen its global presence by hosting international delegations from a variety of countries, particularly during our annual convention in July.
