The California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) is reminding licensees to provide their email contact information by Monday, Dec. 18, to receive important licensing information.

The DFPI has shared with some members of the California Association of Collectors, Inc., (CAC) an issue it is experiencing in attempts to communicate with licensees, including those that are complete and with pending applications.

Other California licensees within ACA International’s membership should take note and update their contact information on the DFPI website: https://buff.ly/3NpmsBm.

The DFPI will be requiring debt collectors that are licensed prior to Jan. 1, 2024, to file an annual report by March 15, 2024, for the year 2023. On Monday, Dec. 18, the DFPI will send out instructions on filing the required annual report and a draft copy of the form to all designated emails.
