LANSING, MI – On April 11, 2024, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced several new appointments to the state Board and Commissions including Michigan’s Collection Practices Board to which Velo Law President, Scott Renner, was appointed.

“I’m looking forward to this opportunity and am honored to be appointed. It’s exciting to have a chance to serve not just the industry but citizens and businesses in my home state,” said Scott.

According to the announcement released by the Executive Office of the Governor:

“Scott A. Renner, of Grand Rapids, is a licensed collections manager and the president of the Velo Law Office. Renner received a Bachelor of Arts in business from Michigan State University, and a Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law. Scott A.
