Sen. Lori Berman Receives FBA Friend of the Trust Industry Award

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.— The Florida Bankers Association is pleased to announce that Susan Walker has

received Association’s 2025 Trust Hall of Fame Award. The announcement was made during the FBA’s 66th

Annual Trust & Wealth Management Conference in Fort Lauderdale.

“The Trust Hall of Fame Award is given to FBA members who have distinguished themselves through

dedicated service to the Florida trust and wealth management industry, and to their communities,” Trust

Division Chair Carlos Batlle said. “Susan’s many years of tireless service to the FBA, and to our industry,

embodies the spirit of this award.”

“We congratulate Susan and are so thankful for her decades of leadership in the industry,” FBA President &

CEO Kathy Kraninger said. “Susan graciously volunteered her time and effort for many causes, including the

FBA’s Trust and Wealth Management School and Women in Leadership Conference. She has dedicated her

career to helping people and families grow and protect their hard-earned money, and has given selflessly of her

time to her colleagues and her community.”

Walker is retired from her position as Managing Director Market Executive, Jacksonville with Bank of America

in Ponte Vedra Beach.

The FBA’s dedicated Trust & Wealth Management Division serves institutions providing clients with private

banking, asset management, and trust banking services. The Division has an executive board, as well as active

and involved legislative and education committees, that work to create value for its Trust & Wealth

Management members and their clients, customers and communities throughout the state.

Other FBA award recipients included Stacey-Ann Williams, who received the Tinsley-Wells Honor Graduate

Award; Rep. Vanessa Oliver and Sen. Lori Berman, who received Friend of the Industry Awards; and Roland

“Kelly” Caldwell, Jr., who received the Trust Banker of the Year Award.

For more than six decades, bankers and industry friends have helped lead the FBA’s Trust Division. We are

pleased to honor these awardees for their contributions to the Florida trust industry and Florida’s economic

well-being.
