Radius Federal Credit Union will merge with Lake Shore Federal Credit Union on Oct. 2.
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Radius Federal Credit Union announced Monday it will be merging with Lake Shore Federal Credit Union on Oct. 2.
Radius says the Lake Shore branch on Erie Road in Angola will remain open and fully operational. Lake Shore members will have access to Radius’s Delaware Avenue branch, a wider range of financial products, and expanded digital banking tools.
According to Radius, the merger is part of a strategic effort to strengthen the company’s presence in Erie County, while also opening doors for financial growth.
“Our members are at the heart of everything we do,” said Lisa Hilton, President and CEO of Radius FCU. “We’re thrilled to welcome Lake Shore members into the Radius family. With this merger, we’re expanding not just our reach, but our ability to help more people in our community achieve their financial goals.”
Radius Federal Credit Union has been serving Erie County since 1942. Originally established to serve employees of the Tonawanda Engine Plant under the name Riverside Federal Credit Union, the institution expanded in 2017 with a community charter, allowing anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Erie County to join.
