Watts has been an RCU volunteer since 1976 and has held a variety of positions on the board, the financial institution announced May 5. She retired after more than 37 years from the county of Sonoma, where she was manager of the customer services division of what’s now Permit Sonoma. Watts also serves on the board of directors for RCU Services Group, a credit union subsidiary.

Gouin has served as an RCU volunteer official since 2008. He has more than 30 years of public service with the county of Sonoma and cities of Vacaville and Santa Rosa, including 11 years as director of the Department of Economic Development and Housing, and Housing and Community Services, from which he retired in 2020.

Rivera has served as an RCU volunteer official since 2014. After nearly 30 years of public service, she retired in April from her role as Sonoma County’s top executive officer. Rivera holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Baja California, México, and completed Sonoma State University’s MBA program. She is also involved with Graton Day Labor Center and Los Cien, a Latino organization supporting and developing emerging leaders.

RCU’s board of directors guides the credit union’s long‑term vision and policies. As a not‑for‑profit cooperative, RCU is led by a volunteer board made up of members, elected by fellow members to represent the community’s best interests.

RCU’s board also named its officer roles for the year. They are Watts as board chair; Gouin, board vice chair; Rivera, board treasurer; and Rod Dole, board secretary.
