Reliant Credit Union has donated $2,500 to Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity in support of the organization’s mission to build affordable housing and strengthen neighborhoods across the region.

The donation was presented on June 6 during a job site visit, where members of the Reliant team volunteered alongside Habitat staff. The effort underscores the credit union’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the communities it serves.

“At Reliant Credit Union, we believe that everyone deserves a place to call home,” said Pamela Heald, President and CEO. “Our donation to the Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity is a commitment to supporting our neighbors by helping hardworking families achieve housing.”

Laurie Streber, Director of Development for Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity, said the funds will directly support home construction efforts.

“We are incredibly grateful to Reliant Credit Union for their generous gift of $2,500,” Streber said. “Partnerships like this are vital to creating affordable housing opportunities in our community.”

Reliant Credit Union, based in Sodus, is a not-for-profit financial institution with more than 47,000 members and over $692 million in assets. It serves individuals who live, work, worship, attend school, or volunteer in Monroe, Ontario, and Wayne counties.
