SB 134 provides relief to Main Street by eliminating swipe fees on sales tax“Swipe fees have quickly become one of the largest expenses for small businesses here in Colorado,” NFIB State Director Michael Smith said. “Our Main Street businesses are collecting sales tax for the state and then paying millions of dollars to big Wall Street banks, all while struggling to keep their doors open. That’s not right. On behalf of our members, we thank the Senate for standing up for small businesses and eliminating swipe fees on sales tax. We urge the House to approve SB 134 quickly and send it to the Governor’s desk for signature.”
