Teachers Federal Credit Union expands in Florida
Teachers Federal Credit Union has expanded its Florida footprint with a new branch in Naples.
Teachers Federal opened a new 4,230-square-foot branch at 10975 Tamiami Trail. The space was formerly occupied by Chase Bank.
This is the Hauppauge-based credit union’s second Florida location, following one in Tampa that opened in late 2022. Teachers Federal has 29 branches on Long Island.
“Teachers is more than a financial institution, it’s an extension of the communities we serve,” Brad Calhoun, president and CEO of Teachers Federal Credit Union, said in a company statement. “Our new Naples branch is a continuation of our long-term investment in Florida. We are proud to join this thriving community and expand access to banking that is truly Smart For All.”
As part of its entry into the Naples community, Teachers Federal plans to forge new local partnerships and support charitable initiatives throughout the region. Last year, the credit union contributed more than $1.1 million to 105 nonprofit organizations nationwide, serving its mission to support education, human services, economic development, and research.
Founded in New York in 1952, Teachers Federal is a full-service, nonprofit financial institution with an open charter offering membership to anyone in the U.S. The credit union, one of the largest in the country, reports $9.9 billion in assets and more than 467,000 members nationwide.
