As part of its ongoing commitment to community involvement, TruMark Financial Credit Union recently supported One House at a Time (OHAAT) with donations, financial assistance, and hands-on volunteer efforts.
TruMark Financial team members collected several boxes of stuffed animals, toothbrushes, bed sheets, comforters, and books at the credit union’s headquarters in Fort Washington and delivered them to the Ambler-based nonprofit.
“We received such an outpouring of support,” said Christine Woods, Vice President, CSR and Government Affairs at TruMark Financial, “and I know that there will be some happy children who will be sleeping better as a result of our team members’ generosity.”
OHAAT works to ensure children have a bed of their own and that families emerging from difficult circumstances have the household items they need. The organization distributes bedding, furniture, and other essentials to families transitioning to stable housing.
TruMark Financial also donated $5,000 to help further OHAAT’s mission, while several employees spent the day volunteering, assisting with tasks on site.
The credit union is dedicated to making a difference in the communities it serves. Throughout the year, TruMark Financial selects different organizations to support, and the helping hand it lent OHAAT reflects a broader strategy of giving back through charitable contributions and employee volunteerism.
